Mineral Resources is seeking the next generation of employees through its CSI Mining Services Fixed Plant Operator Traineeship — a dynamic program that lets you experience the mining industry and develop your skills in a safe, supportive environment, with site-based practical on-the-job training at one of MinRes's remote sites across a variety of crushing equipment. During the traineeship, tasks include operating and monitoring fixed plant equipment (crushers, screens, conveyors and stockyard machines); carrying out inspections, reporting and record keeping; maintaining high housekeeping standards across plant, control rooms and vehicles; performing physically demanding work including manual handling up to 40 kg and working at heights; and assisting with maintenance, shutdowns and breakdowns. The formalised traineeship (usually 12–24 months) combines work with study through an RTO toward a nationally recognised Certificate III in Resource Processing, with progressing pay levels and endless career opportunities afterwards. What's required: 100% commitment to health, safety and environmental procedures; passion for a long-term mining career; a flexible, hands-on attitude; willingness to work at remote mine sites up to 12 hours a day on a 14-days-on / 7-off roster (7 days dayshift, 7 days nightshift, then 7 days off); a current C class driver's licence (no provisional); a national criminal history check; and passing a pre-employment medical and ongoing fitness-for-work assessments including drug and alcohol testing.
