This job is a four-year apprenticeship to become a Heavy Duty Plant Mechanic, based at Georgiou's Hazelmere Workshop. You'd work alongside qualified tradespeople servicing, repairing and maintaining heavy earthmoving equipment, light vehicles and other plant machinery, while studying towards a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology. Year 1 is spent rotating through different repair and maintenance areas in the workshop, and later years add field service and on-site work at Georgiou's construction projects. You'd need to have finished Year 12, be reliable, safety-conscious and able to get yourself to the workshop each day, and basic computer skills are expected too.
