

Underground Entry Level Miner - Olympic Dam · Olympic Dam, SA
BHP's Copper South Australia business is seeking Entry-Level Underground Miners at Olympic Dam, with no prior mining experience required — full training, support and development are provided. You'll be considered for a range of underground roles including Truck Operator, Nipper or General Service Miner based on your skills, aptitude and operational requirements. You'll gain hands-on experience operating large mining equipment (Toyota Landcruiser 4WD manual vehicles, trucks, Rock Breakers/excavators and integrated tool carriers), installing and maintaining critical underground infrastructure, working alongside drills and other heavy mining equipment, operating safely in dynamic underground environments including working at heights, and supporting production and underground mining activities. The role works a 7/7 lifestyle roster (7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off) of rotating 12-hour shifts based at Olympic Dam. Some tasks are physically demanding, including lifting, pushing and pulling. About you: minimum 2+ years' work experience in any industry; a valid driver's licence and the ability to operate a manual vehicle; a strong work ethic; a safety-first mindset; and the ability to adapt to shift work and time away from home. Life on site includes a modern village with a tavern, gym, golf simulators, yoga/Pilates, varied dining and daily bus services to Roxby Downs. Applications close 18 September 2026.
