About the role

Want to become a nationally recognised Fabrication (Boilermaker/Welding) tradesperson? Based in Kalgoorlie, this hands-on role could see you doing planned maintenance at a wastewater treatment plant one day, and repairing machinery or replacing pumps and valves the next.

Over four years, you’ll gain the skills and experience to become a fully qualified tradesperson.

Your skills and experience

• A WA ‘C Class’ Driver’s Licence, or be actively working towards one

• Completion of Year 12 (or Year 10 in some cases) and a desire to pursue a trade

• A positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn

• A solid awareness of safety and a commitment to working safely

• Motivation, enthusiasm and a genuine interest in hands-on work

• Comfortable with physical tasks including manual labour, precision work in workshops or field environments, and some handling of dangerous goods (we’ll provide all the training you need to stay safe)

• The ability to learn and eventually perform the full scope of work of a qualified tradesperson, with appropriate training and supervision

• A pre-apprenticeship is a bonus but not essential
