You'd be a first-year Apprentice Boilermaker working at Transdev's Balmain Shipyard on Sydney's ferries. Alongside experienced tradespeople and supervisors, you'd learn to maintain and repair heavy-duty metal structures on the ferries while studying for your Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking). The role also involves problem-solving and fault-finding tasks with a mentor, plus exposure to shipbuilding, marine maintenance, and fabrication repair techniques. Work runs Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with rostered days off.
