You'd be training as a Boilermaker apprentice in Downer's workshop in Hexham, NSW, working alongside experienced tradespeople. Day to day you'd prepare parts, use machinery and hand tools, perform tack welding, and help build components for switch rooms and other electrical equipment. It's a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 38 hours a week, and you'd work towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication. You might also travel to other Downer sites and projects as part of the training.
