BGIS is seeking an Apprentice HVAC Technician to join its Technical Services team within one of the Gold Coast's largest and most complex healthcare environments, based on-site in Southport, QLD (full-time, permanent). Reporting to the Team Leader, you'll gain hands-on experience across commercial HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical services and facility maintenance while completing your apprenticeship. Key responsibilities include assisting with the installation, maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems; servicing air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration and mechanical plant; participating in planned and reactive maintenance across the healthcare precinct; learning to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults under guidance; supporting inspections, testing and preventative maintenance; supporting Building Management Systems (BMS); ordering materials; and building relationships with team members, contractors and site stakeholders. Essential: current White Card; minimum Year 10; genuine interest in HVAC and refrigeration; strong willingness to learn; good communication and teamwork; and Australian citizenship or permanent residency. PPE, uniform, iPad, mobile phone and in-house training are provided, and the site offers direct access to public transport.
